We don’t usually sell people’s “glut” products, but these come from a long-time food hub volunteer, and we don’t have another source of local pears at the moment, and she’s giving them to us as a donation so the Food Hub will get all the money.
She says that the flavour is sweet and aromatic, and they’ve been grown without artificial inputs but she’s not registered organic – but they won’t keep. They may only be available for a week or two.
They look a bit like comice, but smaller – 4 pears weigh about 500g.
