Our long-time wholesalers, Organic F&V, have ceased trading (Ouch!) BUT we’ve managed to arrange deliveries from Riverford Organic Wholesales. They are also a workers coop & have strong ethics, so they’re a good fit.
Some of their products will be cheaper than OF&V, but we do have to order much further in advance, which means we have to hold stock of perishable items – a whole new ballgame for us.

The range will start smaller, because we need to see how things go, and we’ll try to buy things like salad leaves from local producers – and through the season, we’ll do our best to buy as local as possible.

We’re not going to have some things like sweet peppers because of the weather. Things are just really difficult for veg growers in the UK and across Europe as a whole.
